After an extended winter break from the patch, myself and fellow allotmenteers, Joe and Dean wandered over to our local organic mushroom farm to gather lashings of their virtually-free glorious mushroom compost ready for spring planting. (click for link)
It's that time of the year when we all start making rash promises, over eager with excitement and looking forward to a new year full of promise, complete with visions of abundant gourmet crops and barbecues by the river. read more »
Dear Supporter,

We have recently made the decision, for the short term, not to continue the print version of Sustained Magazine. In the interim, the team will continue to blog and twitter and the Dandelion Award will continue.
Holding on print is to allow our small core team to review our future possibilities and verify the best ways to manifest our vision - something you have all shown great support for.
The world is changing fast, and we need to be nimble enough to change with it. Sustained may be grassroots but we don't see why that means we can't be cutting edge.
To date, we've been overwhelmed by your support. To help us make smart decisions, we'll be doing a lot of asking and even more listening. Below you'll find a short survey, to allow you to share your thoughts and ideas - with YOUR help we can take our vision to a wider audience.
One thing is for certain, the Sustained community will continue its work. This is NOT the end, just a new beginning. Exciting times lie ahead.
