Amazingly, I have some time on my hands - surely I must have forgotten something that I should be doing!
Well, until I remember I thought I'd post around the blog space a bit. The Soil Association are doing some courses this year on all sorts so here's one that may interest the fashionati:-
Customising Clothes
Take a day’s apprenticeship with Lilli Rose Wicks, Graduate Fashion Week’s Visionary Knitwear award winner and learn how to be sustainably fashionable. Got a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear? Let Lilli show you how to breathe new life into tired clothes with a few simple customization techniques. Take inspiration from Lilli’s portfolio and start revamping your sartorial style! Bring a small item of clothing with you to be customised. For this course, please contact Lilli Rose Wicks on 07989 825 546.
And another one
The Knitty Gritty!
Knitting for beginners.
Join Becky Murray of Get Knitted at Abbey Home Farm for a day learning the art of knitting. Spend the day getting to grips with basic knitting, purling, casting on/off and finishing. Walk away with your first knitting project already begun and the skills to finish it at home. For those who already have basic knitting skills there will be opportunity to get more adventurous with circular and double pointed needles for working in the round and also to bring projects from home to ask for advice on.
With the needles and organic yarn from the farm’s sheep provided, you will be kitted up to knit it up!*

Saturday 29th March 2008
Time:
10.00am-4.30pm
Location:
Abbey Home Farm, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire
Cost:
£50.00 (inclusive of lunch and refreshments) or FREE to those who join the Soil Association (see HOW TO BOOK above). *A £5 surcharge is required for materials.
