A New Voice at Sustained

Low Carbon Community expert Tracey Todhunter joins the family

As a "newbie" here at Sustained I thought I'd make my first post a quick hello and introduction. Cheshire is a hive of low carbon activity and I'm proud to be a part of it, living here with my husband, dog, pony and teenage daughter. We make choices every day about how to reduce our impact on the environment. In addition to growing my own veg, I try to live a sustainable  life, shopping locally, buying Fairtrade and using public transport instead of borrowing my husband's car.

I'm organising a national conference for low carbon communities later this year and I'll be writing about that in coming posts. I'll also be introducing you to some of the inspirational projects and people I've met on my travels around the UK, and sharing some of my favourite tips for low carbon living. If you want to know anything about starting, expanding or getting involved in a low carbon community project then please feel free to ask me - and share your stories and thoughts about a future less reliant on fossil fuels.

It's not always easy to wade through the amount of infomation and advice available from the media or well meaning friends, so share my journey to a low carbon future and hopefully we'll learn together and have a few laughs along the way.
