A taste of Summer

By the time I got home, I'd gobbled most of them, they're so tempting and definitely best eaten straight after being picked - as with all fruit and veg off the allotment.

Our strawberry crop isn't going to be very big this year - I don't know what we've done wrong: we have plenty of plants which have been in the ground for two years, but the amount of fruit is disappointing. It's a shame because I could eat these little beauties all day long.

One thing I did spot when reading a supplement that came with the magazine from Garden Organic, was some rather flash looking racks for growing them off the ground - it looks like they'd give me bumber crops.

If you've got any strawberry tips or stories of your own to help us increase our yield, post them here as a comment.
