£2 Off the Climate Calendar 2009

I was really pleased to get my hands on a copy of the 2009 Calendar of Climate Change yesterday.

For the third year running Diana Korchien and her team at Flipside Vision have managed to put together a series of stunning images which explore twelve aspects of climate change. Alongside original and beautiful photographs you will find just enough information on subjects such a coral bleaching, biofuel and the impact of travel.

The website links so you find out more are very handy too. A new feature this year is the addition of tiny perforations below the images which allow the dated area to be removed so you can keep the collection of images for use as an educational resource if you wish.

I first came across the Calendar when I was planning the 2007 conference for low carbon communities and it's great to see another to add to my collection (I know of one teacher at the local primary school who still has a photo from the 2007 calendar framed and hanging on the classroom wall).
Diana donates up to half the proceeds from the calendar to Stop Climate Chaos, ensures her printers adhere to strict environmental standards and if that's not enough to induce you to buy a copy then surely these wonderful photos from the 2009 calendar will.

Stick one of these calendars up on your kitchen wall and it's bound to attract comments from your visitors - or better still buy one for a friend who needs a shove to take action to reduce their environmental impact - no-one could fail to be inspired by this colourful and informative addition to the Flipside Vision range.
